  1. I actually watched a documentary which stated that it's actually fake. It's mind over matter.
  2. I have not tried but some people using megnatic belt for reducing blood pressure.I bought for my wife from Dubai but not much change. It may be helping mentaly some way satisfaction.I have tried Accupancher & helped looks scientific
  3. I don't know how it works but i have magnetics on my bed for back pain and headaches and it has helped a lot.
  4. No, they don't beyond placebo. There is no mechanism or scientific basis for them to work. Several studies have confirmed this. They are total quackery. http://www.quackwatch.com/04ConsumerEducation/QA/magnet.html EDIT: Halema, the iron in hemoglobin is to weak - and the magnets are too weak to have no effect on it. If they did, can you imagine what a MRI machine would do to you? They are many orders of magnitude stronger than therapy magnets. Science knows full well how magnets work and there is no clinical data to support the use of them therapeutically. FDA regulations prohibit marketing any magnet therapy product using medical claims, as such claims are unfounded. Where did you get your 55% from?
  5. Therapeutic Magnet Therapy has an approximately 55% effectiveness rating. This means that approximately 55% of the population will feel some kind of benefits from using magnetic therapy. The magnets are not what you would find in walmart or the local drug stores. They are much stronger and cost much more. The way magnets are supposed to help with pain is that magnets attract the iron in your blood stream to the location of the magnet, thereby increasing blood flow - and oxygen, vitamins, minerals and pain-relieving iron to that joint. To say that magnets have a placebo effect or are a hoax just shows that the poster is unaware of the current usage of magnets in our everyday life, from electronics to automotive to health. Magnets used to be considered the "work of the devil" because people did not understand HOW magnets worked. More research is being done on magnets for all aspects of daily lives.
