Does magnetic therapy work?
I've had chronic headaches for a while and I've been thinking about trying a "magnetic therapy" necklace. Does it work? Whats the standard price I should be paying for a good necklace? Anyone know any good websites to get one at? Please only answer if you've actually tried it.

- No, it's pretty much just a scam. I have several degrees in physics - and I can tell you that magnets have no effect on your blood flow. There's simply not nearly enough iron in your blood for it to make a difference. Think of it this way - going into an MRI machine is like entering a giant strong magnet. And it doesn't do a thing to you.
- It does, but only in a psychosomatic way. If you think it will work on a minor problem, it will. If you don't think it will work, then it won't. That makes it the very definition of a placebo. If you take ibuprofen you'll feel less pain whether you "believe in" the ibuprofen or not. I've tried magnetic therapy as an experiment, and found it didn't do diddly, but then I didn't think it would. My younger sister thinks it's great, but she has to use it constantly.
- I'm using the below linked Magnetic Mattress with Far Infrared Therapy. My parents & grandfather has also using it for months now. It does help to relief aches and pains, brings your blood pressure to a stable level, and lowers cholesterol levels through blood circulation. But of course its not a miracle product. It actually defers from people to people as it brings your body back to balance and recovers. With proper backing of certificates and research, I'd recommend the product. Of course if the ache is in your back, wearing a bracelet will not help.
