How do magnetic bracelets help with pain?
I have heard lots of people talk about magnetic bracelets and necklaces and how they help relieve pain. Is it true? and if so, how do they work? Thanks

- Yes they work. How it works is a mystery, but I think it operates along these lines. Magnetic bracelets work like homeopathic medicine, which is similiar to hypnotism and religious healing. It is the placebo affect. Look it up. Save your money.
- Many times a customer has come into the store wearing a magnetic bracelet. Each time I can I ask them about it. So far, 100% of the time they have told me it helps them with their pain. Here is why magnets work. Magnets effect ionically charged particles. This is a known physical law that any physicist will confirm. By that, it means that it is true whether we know it or not, or whether we believe it or not. Pain generates ionically charged particles of oxidation. So they respond to the magnetic fields that the magnets generate. Thus the oxidized particles will either move towards or away from the magnet. This gives the pain particles a better opportunity to come into contact with antioxidants which neutralize the ionic pain particles. If a person is deficient in antioxidants, the magnets won't help to reduce or eliminate pain. Therefore, if you want to maximize the effect of magnetic bracelets, be sure to take plenty of antioxidants. That might be why people who shop at health food stores have such a high rate of benefit from magnets...they are more likely to be taking extra antioxidants. Good luck and be well. Kelley BTW, if you sit in front of a computer, have one on your lap, or use a cell phone, it's a real good idea to wear some sort of magnetics. Magnetic insoles from Nikken, for instance, can make a difference in your fatigue levels at the end of the day. (I am not a Nikken distributor. But you shouldn't have any trouble finding one. ;-))
- They do not work. It's a quackery that people are making money off of gullible people. I find it amusing how otherwise seemingly intelligent people fall for gimmicks and gadgets like this when there is no proven scientific evidence for it. Look at the above contributors answer "It's a mystery how it works". NO ITS NOT. Medicine is not a "mystery" its a science. Unless you can reproduce lab controlled results and document evidence and data, don't fall for it. Also you can read why homeopathy is a fake here: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/homeo.html Please for your sake, don't fall for fakes and quackery's such as this you'll be wasting your money. And stay away from anything Kevin Trudeau has to sell you. And as for "The doctor who cured cancer" author, why has no one heard of you, or the doctor who cured cancer. They would certainly have won a Nobel Peace prize or something? All these snake oil salesman are after one thing, your money.
- No its a fraud. In 1998, Magnetherapy, Inc., signed an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the State of Texas to pay a $30,000 penalty and to stop claiming that wearing its magnetic device near areas of pain and inflammation will relieve pain due to arthritis, migraine headaches, sciatica or heel spurs. The agreement also requires Magnetherapy to stop making claims that its magnets can cure, treat, or mitigate any disease or can affect any change in the human body Read this from Quackwatch, the number one site dedicated to fighting health fraud and claims. http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/QA/magnet.html
- it is the placibo effect,,,snake oil money
- The magnetic bracelets and necklaces are called hematite and it's a natural mineral-metal derived from the earth, I think volcanic. It does have the ability to break up magnetic energy and particles in the build and gives it a natural grounding effect, thus redirecting pain and taking down inflammation in the muscles and tendons by keeping the toxins flowing out of the build and not being blocked or hindered. When the body is in pain, it becomes inflamed because the sensors start sending out distress signals to the brain and then the brain tells the body to go heal it, thus blocking toxins and cellular build up in a isolated area. The hematite breaks the party up so it works like a traffic stoplight to allow the correct amount of flow of energy in the body and control the congestion. Get one you won't be sorry. PS if you get a headache and you are wearing it on the right-side, switch it to the left side of the body, the headache will subside.
- They do NOT work. Magnets have no effect on any part of the human body at all. Waste of money for a placebo.
