Magnetic Jewelry Therapy

Will wearing a magnetic bracelet do anything to my electric guitar while playing it?

I recently bought a magnet bracelet to help arthritis in my right wrist. I'm not sure if it's safe to play my guitar or not.

  1. I don't think so , but try it and see!!!!!!!
  2. well, im not sure, because the pickups work by picking up vibrations from the magnetic fields they produce, so if you put a magnet close enough, i would assume the outcome would not be to your liking
  3. I think you'd have to get it pretty close to a pickup to cause any damage, but I can tell you for sure, it's doing nothing for your arthritis. Magnetic Therapy is a hoax. Have you ever heard of an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)" That's the strongest magnetic field a person can be exposed to and it has yet to cure ANYONE of ANYTHING. Get rid of the bracelet unless you just think it's cool. Kabum (guitarist with RA)
  4. You may get feedback from your amp but plug it in and try playing a few songs with the bracelet on.
  5. If it doesnt bother you that much, maybe you should take it off. But i dont kno
